December 24, 2021 The late Edward Asner reads Robert L. May's original story of "Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer," written in 1939. The Christmas festivities continue, as Patrick Thomas' "Dear Cthulhu" answers a letter from a grifter who poses as Santa Claus. And, in memory of actress Sally Ann Howes, who died on December 19th at the age of 91, you'll hear songs she performed as Truly Scrumptious in the 1968 movie Chitty Chitty Bang Bang.

December 3, 2021 Author Patrick Thomas makes his 12th live phone appearance, to discuss three of his recent anthologies. Ranging from Urban Fantasy to Sword and Sorcery, with a generous helping of humor, the titles include The Mug Life (the first Murphy's Lore After Hours collection since 2008), Terrorbelle the Unconquered (featuring stories of the half-pixie, half-ogre in the world of Faerie), and Mean Streets (A Mystic Investigators Book). October 29, 2021 39th Annual Halloween Special. In the latest installment of The Voice of Science Fiction's longest-running annual tradition, the Destinies Radio Theater takes you back 82 years, to experience "The Phantom Fingerprints," as originally aired on the October 29th, 1939 episode of "The Shadow." In a story based on an actual police procedure for obtaining fingerprints from decomposed bodies, fingerprints indicate that the murder of the city's veteran medical examiner is the work of Killer Norvelli, a former circus knife thrower who was executed eight years before. Is Norvelli back from the dead, or will the Shadow uncover another killer at work? And, will Lamont Cranston be able to convince Commissioner Weston to come to the rehearsal of his new mystery play? Also, host Howard Margolin remembers the late actress JoAnna Cameron and tells you about the newest horror releases from Alpha Video.



October 22, 2021 The Voice of Science Fiction celebrates the 50th anniversary of The Electric Company, when Spidey Meets the Jester in "The Last Laugh" from the 1977 LP "Spidey Super Stories," narrated by Morgan Freeman. Alex Gregory kills his fiancee's father to obtain the secret of eternal life, but his murderous schemes backfire after he finally attains immortality.

Patrick Thomas' "Dear Cthulhu" answers a letter from a woman who wants to introduce her son to the world of swinging. Plus, Christina M. Rau performs her poems "How Do We Determine What Mars Is Made Of?" and "Static."

  

January 22, 2021 The Destinies Radio Theater concludes its salute to the late actress Dame Diana Rigg, who stars as the Teller in "Neil Gaiman's Norse Mythology," part 3 of the full-cast dramatization. In this final segment, learn the fates of Fenrir the giant wolf and his father Loki; find out the circumstances behind the death of Balder, and how that led to Ragnarok, the end of everything.

  

January 15, 2021 Continuing the salute to the memory of Dame Diana Rigg, with part two of "Neil Gaiman's Norse Mythology" on the Destinies Radio Theater. This full cast dramatization of the tales of the gods of Asgard, stars Diana Rigg as the Teller, who relates the stories of the wall built around Asgard for protection, how Loki and Thor retrieved Thor's hammer from the Lord of the Ogres, and how All-Father Odin dealt with Loki's three illegitimate children.

December 25, 2020 The Destinies Radio Theater salutes the release of Wonder Woman 1984 with part two of "Torment in Paradise," based on a 1982 DC Comics story arc by Dan Mishkin. When the Olympian-powered Aegeus attacks Paradise Island, Wonder Woman, Queen Hippolyte, and Steve Trevor team up to defend the island and the Amazons. Dave Campfield returns to review the recently-completed second season of The Mandalorian. And, Devo Spice performs his latest comedy rap song, "Mandalorian."
