January 14, 2005 Howard Margolin and Tony Tellado of "Sci-Fi Talk" interview Katee Sackhoff at I-Con 23. Katee reflects on coming to her first science fiction convention, taking over the part of Starbuck for the reimagined "Battlestar Galactica," getting to know Dirk Benedict, working with her fellow cast members, her acting background, shooting scenes in the Viper, her childhood experiences with watching science fiction, her current genre TV favorites, and more.
January 28, 2005 20th annual memorial for the crews of the space shuttles Challenger and Columbia with a look back at the Apollo 1 disaster of January 27, 1967 from the LP "To the Moon: The Story in Sound," narrated by Sorrell Booke, and music from Vic Mizzy's score for "The Reluctant Astronaut." Christopher DeFilippis lists his best and worst reads of 2004 in volume 2, number 42 of "DeFlip Side." In honor of the 10th anniversary of "Star Trek: Voyager," the City of Prague Philharmonic performs Jerry Goldsmith's "Main Title" for the series.
February 4, 2005 Vlad Tsepis introduces Voltaire as the final act at the I-Con 23 Cabaret. The Goth and Science Fiction comedy musician performs "Goodnight, Demonslayer," "Bomb New Jersey," and an expanded version of "U.S.S. Make Shit Up," as well as relating his encounter with the stars of "Gene Roddenberry's Earth: Final Conflict" at an earlier I-Con. Plus, "Lovesong," from Voltaire's album "Now and Again."

March 11, 2005 Live, two-hour Soundtrack Spotlight Special, featuring a telephone interview with Robin Esterhammer, producer of Perseverance Records, and selections from the soundtracks of Prince Valiant, The Abominable Dr. Phibes, Dr. Phibes Rises Again, Invasion of the Body Snatchers, and The Deadly Spawn.
March 25, 2005 I-Con 24 Performers Preview, featuring songs by the Brobdingnagian Bards, Kenny Young and the Eggplants, the Boogie Knights, Sudden Death, Voltaire, and Aerosith. Plus, Christopher DeFilippis relates some of his favorite I-Con memories in Volume 2, Number 42 of "DeFlip Side."
April 8, 2005 Live, I-Con 24 Mystery Guest special featuring Eugene "Rod" Roddenberry, filksinger Adam Goss, and authors Keith R.A. DeCandido, John Kenneth Muir, and Terri Osborne. The longest-ever Destinies broadcast.
April 29, 2005 Destinies' hour-long 22nd anniversary special featuring volume 2, number 45 of Christopher DeFilippis' "DeFlip Side," encore readings by authors Justin Gustainis, Glenn Greenberg, Marc Vun Kannon, Scott Nicholson, Dr. William Katz, and Keith R.A. DeCandido. Richard Dreyfuss reads an excerpt from Gary Tigerman's "The Orion Protocol." Plus, music by David Arkenstone, Alan Parsons, and the Ventures' version of "Classical Gas."
May 6, 2005 The Destinies Film Review Team (Howard Margolin, Jim Rowland, Steve Lowenthal, Christopher DeFilippis, and Phil Merkel) assembles live to discuss "The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy." Plus, the entirety of Destinies' 22nd anniversary special, which had been cut off the previous week, including encore readings by authors Justin Gustainis, Glenn Greenberg, Marc Vun Kannon, Scott Nicholson, Dr. David Katz, and Keith R.A. July 15, 2005 The Destinies Film Review Team (Howard Margolin, Christopher DeFilippis, Phil Merkel) assembles to discuss "Fantastic Four." How do the opinions about the film vary between people who are familiar with the comics and someone who has no familiarity with the source material? Were there any standouts in the cast? Which character was completely misinterpreted? And what is the film worth on the Famous Destinies Zero to $7.50 Rating Scale?
July 22, 2005 In memory of James Doohan, an encore presentation of an original "Star Trek" sketch, exclusively written for his appearance at the I-Con 5 Cabaret. Christopher DeFilippis discusses the state of spaceflight in volume 2, number 48 of "DeFlip Side." The improvisational comedy troupe "X Plus One" performs at the I-Con 24 Cabaret, introduced by Captain Zorikh.

August 19, 2005 Joining in WUSB's Blues Marathon with Destinies' 7th annual Science Fiction Blues Special, featuring songs by Andreas Katsulas, Vaughn Armstrong, the Klaus Konig Orchestra, Rick Springfield, Huey Lewis and The News, John Carpenter, Louisiana Red, Sharon Abreu and Danny Elfman.
August 26, 2005 Remembering actor Paul Winchell (12/21/1922-6/24/2005) with the theme from "Dastardly and Muttley in Their Flying Machines." Honoring the memory of composer Joe Harnell (8/2/1924-7/14/2005) with a Soundtrack Spotlight on his score for "The Incredible Hulk" TV series. Christopher DeFilippis discusses a new way to enjoy short stories in volume 2, number 49 of "DeFlip Side." Captain Zorikh introduces the Boogie Knights at the I-Con 24 Cabaret.
September 9, 2005 Destinies Audiobook Sampler: Michael McGlone reads part 1 of Marc Levy's "If Only It Were True." The Brobdingnagian Bards perform at the I-Con 24 Cabaret. In memory of Robert Moog, developer of the electronic synthesizer, Walter Carlos performs "Prelude and Fugue Number 2 in C Minor," on the 1968 album Switched-On Bach.
September 30, 2005 The themes from "Far Out Space Nuts" and "Get Smart" are played in memory of, respectively, actors Bob Denver and Don Adams. Howard Margolin teams with Tony Tellado of "Sci-Fi Talk" to conduct a press conference with actress Jewel Staite at I-Con 24.

December 2, 2005 Howard Margolin teams with Tony Tellado of "Sci-Fi Talk" for a press conference with Rockne S. O'Bannon, creator of "Farscape" and "Alien Nation." Plus, part one of the Lux Radio Theater adaptation of the 1953 film version of "War of the Worlds," originally broadcast on February 8, 1955.
December 9, 2005 Part two of the Lux Radio Theatre's adaptation of "War of the Worlds," starring Dana Andrews, originally broadcast in 1955, and based on the screenplay for the 1953 film version of the story.
December 16, 2005 The Destinies Radio Theater presents "The Legend of King Kong: An Incredible Discovery." A salty old sea captain recalls the fateful voyage to a remote island, when a Hollywood director charters his boat to film a supposed "travelogue" featuring the beautiful actress, Ann. On the island, the native tribal chief demands that Ann be offered as a sacrifice to the mighty Kong. In trying to rescue Ann, the director gets the idea to capture the giant monster ape and bring him to New York to be put on display as King Kong.
