January 3, 1997 The Destinies Film Review Team (Howard Margolin, Cheryl and Mike Johnson) assembles live to list their favorite and least favorite movies of 1996. Was there a consensus on any movie? Which of the remaining films of the year were seen but didn't make the team's lists? Which movies were so bad they should never have been released at all?

March 14, 1997 The Destinies Radio Theater presents "On The Air" by Glenn Hauman, adapted from his story in "The Ultimate X-Men." Starring Glenn and Brandy Hauman, Bob Longman, and Howard Margolin, who celebrates his 13th anniversary with the Voice of Science Fiction.
April 18, 1997 Memorials for Terry Nation and Martin Caidin, featuring an encore of an interview with Terry Nation recorded in 1986, and The Six Million Dollar Man in "The Man From The Future" on the Destinies Radio Theater.
April 25, 1997 The Voice of Science Fiction celebrates its 14th anniversary with tributes to the science fiction notables who were memorialized in the previous year: Jerry Siegel, Curt Swan, Mark Gruenwald, Carl Sagan, Mark Lenard, Terry Nation, Jon Pertwee, and Kim Yale. Also features music by Bill Mumy, Tom Smith, Mason Williams, and Alan Parsons.
May 2, 1997 The Long Island Cabaret Theater, Joe Haldeman, and Ted Slampyak & David Gold perform at the I-Con 16 Cabaret. William Shatner, Leonard Nimoy, and George Takei read part one of Margaret Wander Bonanno's "Star Trek: Strangers From The Sky" on the Destinies Audiobook Sampler.
May 16, 1997 George Takei and Leonard Nimoy read part one of Vonda N. McIntyre's "Star Trek:The Entropy Effect," on the Destinies Audiobook Sampler. "Star Trek:The Next Generation Main Title." "The Toll of Midnight" approaches as Superman attempts to stop the kidnapping of Governor Carson in episode 43 of "Superman" on the Destinies Radio Theater.

June 13, 1997 George Takei reads part 2 of "Star Trek V: The Final Frontier" on the Destinies Audiobook Sampler. In the first act of a Destinies Radio Theater Double Feature, Steve Austin goes undercover as a truck driver in Alaska in The Six Million Dollar Man adventure "Operation: Deep Freeze." On the Destinies Radio Theater, the Man of Steel seeks to stop the Flores gang before the opening of "The Pioneers National Monument," in episode 45 of "Superman." On the Destinies Radio Theater, as the search for Alonso Craig and the Daily Planet reporters continues, Clark Kent finds "The Diary" of one of the reporters in episode 48 of "Superman."
August 15, 1997 The Destinies Soundtrack Spotlight shines on Elliot Goldenthal's score for "Demolition Man." September 5, 1997 A Destinies Radio Theater Double Feature starts with the original "Star Trek" crew encountering a race that is so devoted to their planet's central computer that they fail to take into account "The Human Factor." Then, in part one of a 3D audio adaptation of the movie "Steel," Army weapons designer John Henry Irons returns to Los Angeles to start a new life, only to find that weapons he helped to build are finding their way to the street gangs of L.A.. To stop them, he decides to fight fire with fire, and creates an armored suit.
September 12, 1997 In a Destinies Radio Theater Double Feature, John Henry Irons fights to keep high-tech weapons off the streets in Part 2 of "Steel." Then, Wonder Woman reveals "The Secret of the Magic Tiara," but will it lead to her defeat?
October 3, 1997 Tim Truman and the Dixie Pistols perform "Blues Crusade." "Graphic Detail" # 111: Howard Margolin interviews writers John Ostrander and Kim Yale at I-Con 15.
October 10, 1997 Tiimothy Truman and the Dixie Pistols perform "The Scout Theme." Billy Joel sings "A Minor Variation." Music from Alan Silvestri's score for "Forest Gump." "Graphic Detail" # 112: Part 2 of the interview with writers John Ostrander and Kim Yale, recorded at I-Con 15.
October 24, 1997 Live telephone interview with Keith R.A. DeCandido, who returns for his fourth appearance to discuss his work as an editor for Byron Preiss Multimedia, including the Marvel, Traveler, and WildStorm novels, the anthologies "Urban Nightmares" and "Virtual Unrealities," his contribution to the anthology "Did You Say Chicks?," and his band "The Don't Quit Your Day Job Players."
October 31, 1997 15th annual Halloween Special featuring part one of "Phantom" by Maury Yeston and Arthur Kopit on the Destinies Musical Theater. Plus, a Halloween edition of the "Destinies-Joe Evangelista Wars."

November 14, 1997 Music from Jerry Goldsmith's score for "First Knight." The Destinies Radio Theater presents Orson Welles as The Shadow in "The Bride of Death."
November 28. 1997 The Destinies Soundtrack Spotlight shines on James Horner's score for "Aliens." John de Lancie tells the story of Captain Kirk's last night on board the Enterprise-A when he reads part one of J. M. Dillard's novelization of "Star Trek: Generations" on The Destinies Audiobook Sampler. When Clark Kent goes into town to inform the police about a murder on Music Mountain, the Man of Steel must deal with the aftermath of "The Bank Holdup" in episode 54 of "Superman" on the Destinies Radio Theater.
December 5, 1997 The Destinies Soundtrack Spotlight shines on Dennis McCarthy's score for "Star Trek: Generations." Captain Kirk and Commanders Scott and Chekov attend the launch of the Enterprise-B in John de Lancie's reading of part two of J.M. Dillard's novelization of "Star Trek: Generations" on the Destinies Audiobook Sampler. Clark Kent learns about "The Radium Refinery" in episode 55 of "Superman" on the Destinies Radio Theater.
December 12, 1997 The Destinies Radio Theater presents a 60-year slipback when The Shadow encounters "The Death Triangle," as originally aired on December 12, 1937. Orson Welles stars as The Shadow comes to the aid of a doctor who was once a prisoner on Devil's Island.
