January 20, 1989 The Destinies Radio Theater presents a double feature: Find out what happens when a dinosaur-hunting expedition to the past goes off the path in part two of Ray Bradbury's "A Sound of Thunder." Then, learn what happens when the Man of Steel arrives on Earth "One Hot Day in Indiana," in episode 2 of "Superman."

  

January 27, 1989 Part one of the Destinies Radio Theater serialization of "Isaac Asimov's Robot City: Book One," preceded by an interview with the audiobook's producer, Mike Sargent, and the project's music producer, Russ Barker.



February 3, 1989 In Destinies' 4th annual Challenger memorial, Howard Margolin reads Ray Bradbury's "The End of the Beginning." John Madonia lists his ten best science fiction novels of 1988. Jesse Flint introduces "Orion" from Jethro Tull's album "Stormwatch." Plus, episode 2 of "Isaac Asimov's Robot City," starring Peter MacNicol and produced by Mike Sargent.

February 17, 1989 John Madonia teams with Jesse Flint to review "The Fly II," then provides an I-Con VIII update. Howard Margolin previews the 1989 Creation Part II convention, and introduces music by Andy Summers from the soundtrack of "2010." John Cornetto interviews author Jane Yolen at Boskone. Derec finds himself aboard an alien ship as the Destinies Radio Theater presents part 4 of "Isaac Asimov's Robot City."

  

April 28, 1989 The Voice of Science Fiction celebrates its sixth anniversary with Jesse Flint reading Craig Flint's "The Toybox," Gravity's Rainbow performing "Into the Darkness," Kevin Conod and Brian McGuinness reading "Twist Ending" by Barry Longyear, "Weird Al" Yankovic singing "I Think I'm A Clone Now," an interview with actor Philip Akin (TV's "War of the Worlds"), Synergy's version of "Classical Gas," Joe Masset's stand-up comedy routine at the I-Con VII Cabaret, and Howard Margolin reading Ray Bradbury's "The End of the Beginning." Plus, the Destinizer turns Joe Evangelista into a one-man "Destinies" crew as the Destinies-Joe Evangelista Wars continue.



May 26th, 1989 Howard Margolin interviews Terry Gilliam at Creation part two. John Madonia plays music from "Raiders of the Lost Ark" and "Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom," and reviews "Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade."



June 2, 1989 Ray Bradbury reads his short story "The Toynbee Convector." Reporter Roger Shumway is invited to visit Craig Bennett Stiles, a 130-year-old man also known as the Time Traveler, to conduct the first interview Stiles has granted since after his return from the future, 100 years earlier. Plus, John Madonia introduces the title song from the soundtrack of "Earth Girls Are Easy."

  

June 16, 1989 An hour-long "Star Trek" special featuring music from Star Treks I-IV, "Star Trek: The Generation Gap" by Dennis Daniel and Steve Morrison, an interview with George Takei recorded at Creation Convention, Gene Roddenberry and DeForest Kelley discussing "McCoy's Rx For Life" in a segment from the "Inside Star Trek" album, and the Destinies Film Review Team (Howard Margolin, John Madonia, Jim Rowland, and Steve Lowenthal) examining "Star Trek V: The Final Frontier."



June 23, 1989 "Graphic Detail" # 49: Howard Margolin interviews writer Peter David at Creation Convention in New York City. The Destinies Film Review Team (John Madonia, Howard Margolin, Glen Semenick) discuss "Ghostbusters 2." John Cornetto previews Empiricon.



June 30, 1989 "Graphic Detail" # 50: Part 2 of Howard Margolin's interview with writer Peter David, recorded at Creation Convention. The Destinies Film Review Team (John Madonia, Howard Margolin, Glen Semenick, Jim Rowland, Steve Lowenthal, and Jennifer Young) discuss "Batman."



July 7, 1989 Howard Margolin interviews the electronic comedy troupe Noble Gas (Ruby Laser, Dr. Ike Mike Serious, Prince Propane, and Crystal Bead) at the 1988 Thanksgiving Creation Convention, and presents songs from their album. Plus, Joe battles laryngitis as "The Destinies-Joe Evangelista Wars" continue.



July 14, 1989 Comedian Joe Masset talks about Time-Life Books' "Mysteries of the Unknown" series in a stand-up routine at the I-Con 8 Cabaret. The Alan Parsons Project performs "La Sagrada Familia" from their album "Gaudi." Howard Margolin reads Roger Zelazny's short story, "Auto-Da-Fe."

    

July 21, 1989 Saluting the 20th anniversary of Apollo 11 with "The First Man on the Moon-July, 1969" narrated by Hugh Downs. Howard Margolin interviews Greg Trocchia of the Long Island Space Frontier Society at I-Con VIII. Plus, music from "2001: A Space Odyssey," "SpaceCamp," and "Capricorn One." And, an appropriate installment of the Destinies-Joe Evangelista Wars.

August 18, 1989 The Destinies Film Review Team (John Madonia, Howard Margolin, Glen Semenick, and Pat Lonergan) discuss "The Abyss," "Young Einstein" and "Friday the 13th Part 8: Jason Takes Manhattan." The Destinies Soundtrack Spotlight shines on music from "Young Einstein." John Cornetto previews the 1989 World Con. Howard previews Creation Conventions' Summer Extravaganza. High above the streets of Gotham City, Howard is threatened by "The DJ," as "The Destinies-Joe Evangelista Wars" continue.

  
August 25, 1989 A "Star Trek" special featuring an interview with authors Margaret Wander Bonanno and Carmen Carter, recorded at Creation Convention in New York City. Plus, Jerry Goldsmith's "The Mountain" from the soundtrack of "Star Trek V: The Final Frontier" (the first time a CD was ever played on Destinies) and Leonard Rosenman's "Chekov's Run" from his score for "Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home."

  



November 3, 1989 In part two of Destinies' annual Halloween special, Howard Margolin reads Richard Matheson's "Big Surprise," and John Madonia reads "The Savage Mouth" by Sakeo Kamatsu. Plus, music from J. Peter Robinson's score for "Return of the Living Dead." Also hosted by Jesse Flint.

November 17, 1989 Music by The Dudes of Wrath, Megadeath, and Voodoo X from the soundtrack of "Shocker." Dr. Isaac Asimov reads his short story "The Immortal Bard." Jesse Flint reads his short story, "The Secrets of the Universe." Howard Margolin previews the 1989 Thanksgiving Creation Convention. Also hosted by John Madonia and Sharan Volin.

  

December 29, 1989 "Graphic Detail" # 55: The Graphic Detail (Howard Margolin, Glen Semenick, Jim Rowland, and Steve Lowenthal) assembles to discuss the best, worst, and most disappointing developments in the comic book industry for 1989. Plus, DC Comics Editorial Coordinator, Bob Greenberger returns for his third appearance to discuss his work at DC and his first "Star Trek" novel.
